Picasso Pictures Honored at AOC Awards
The venerable and talented Picasso Pictures has been honored x2 at the first-ever Art Of Creativity Awards! Judges from esteemed institutions, LACMA, MOCA London, The Hammer Museum, and Saatchi Gallery London, gave two nods to Picasso. First for Spectacular Animation for Smart Energy GB “Out of Control” by directing duo Gold Cactus. First of a trio of spots which include “Freezer” and “Hairdryer”.
A second nod for Best Music Video for James ”Dear John" by Peter Vacz. All winners will be on exhibit at MOCA London starting this week.
More…Picasso added the multitalented Hungarian collective, Umbrella.
Flavor Meets the Challenge
A team of Flavor artists lead by CD, Jason Cook, met the challenge to create an entirely CG desert playground and vehicle for the new 2017 Ford F150 Raptor replete with deconstructing truck and the visceral experience of tasting dust and dirt in your face.
Opus Orange "Let You Down"
Fresh from their NYC tour, Emoto Music artist, Opus Orange, released their music video for “Let You Down”. Paul Bessenbacher, composer/ owner Emoto, spoke on a panel for TuneCore at Mondo.NYC festival hosted by NYU. Also, Emoto Music lent it’s talents to frequent collaborators, The Muir Project, for their latest release NOATAK: Return to the Arctic.
Olympic Year for Tax Free Films
Tax Free Films celebrates their enduring relationship with Omega Timepieces while Michael Phelps celebrates a double triumph after winning his 20th and 21st Olympic gold medals with a poster signing featuring Phelps' CG mechanical double from Tax Free's epic Omega Co-Axial World spot.
Once again, Milestone asked Tax Free to produce a spot entirely in CG for the Ride2 Game Trailer. As always, the wizards at Tax Free delivered!
