Based in the heart of London’s Soho, th1ng, pronounced ‘thing one’, is an animation, graphics and mixed media production company, creating commercials and moving image content. th1ng also creates feature film title sequences. Such as: Sweeney Todd, The Golden Compass, Vantage Point, Batman.
The studio was founded by Dominic Buttimore in 2003 and has become the exclusive home to a host of award winning directors and designers, who specialise in both 2D and 3D, graphics and VFX. Editing and post production is completed in house in an integrated digital environment, so that th1ng can maintain a competitive edge on all productions. th1ng can also work alongside its live action sister company th2ng (thing two), which represents a wide range of live action directing talent.
French animator and director Sylvain Chomet is legendary in his field. He won a BAFTA in 1997 for the short film ‘The Old Lady and Pigeons’ which went on to receive an Oscar nomination. His first feature-length animated film ‘The Triplets of Belleville’ was nominated for two Oscars in 2003. His second feature length animated film ‘The Illusionist’ premiered at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival in 2010. Won a César (a French Oscar) for best animation 2011. Nominated for an Oscar in 2011 for Best Animated Feature Film.

Richard Morrison is one of the world’s leading film title designers. In a career spanning three decades, he has created over 150 feature film title sequences for many of the industry’s most respected film directors and producers.
Richard began his career with Maurice Binder on the Bond series. His credits span Hollywood blockbusters such as Batman, Enemy at the Gates, A Fish called Wanda and A Passage to India, to cult classics like Brazil, Sweeney Todd and Quadrophenia. He has worked with directors as varied as Sir David Lean, Kenneth Branagh and Stephen Frears to Jean-Jaques Annaud, Ridley Scott and Tim Burton.
